Where it's used

01

Roof Framing with Purlins

Roof sheets need purlins running across the trusses to fasten to. C-purlins in the right gauge and spacing carry the roofing load. We supply the common profiles in 6m lengths so your framer can run them out.

02

Drywall Partitions

Office walls and apartment partitions use metal studs and gypsum. Correct stud sizing prevents deflection and cracking of finishes. We match stud width to your wall height.

03

Suspended Ceilings

Drop ceilings hang from furring and carrying channel. Channel size and spacing must match the ceiling board and span. We supply furring, channel, wall angle, and the clips to tie it together.

How ordering works

Send room dimensions and stud spacing (typically 400mm or 600mm centers), or your purlin layout. We compute stud, track, purlin, and fastener counts and confirm stock and price.

Common questions about metal framing & studs

What gauge and size of C-purlin do I need?

It depends on your purlin spacing and roof span. Closer spacing and shorter spans allow a lighter gauge; wider spacing needs a heavier one. Your fabricator or engineer specifies it. Tell us the profile (for example 2x3 or 2x4) and gauge and we will match it.

What stud thickness do I need for drywall partitions?

For ordinary interior partitions up to about 3 meters, 0.40mm studs at 400mm or 600mm spacing are the everyday spec. Taller walls, doors, and walls carrying cabinets do better with 0.50mm. Send your wall height and we will recommend the thickness.

Do you carry fire-rated studs?

We stock standard galvanized studs, tracks, and channel. If your project needs fire-rated sections, tell us the rating and we will try to source them for you.
