Where it's used

01

Fabrication and Machine Bases

Base plates, gussets, brackets, and machine mounts cut from MS plate. Pick the thickness off your fabrication drawing and we will quote per sheet.

02

Flooring, Ramps, and Treads

Checkered plate gives grip on ramps, catwalks, truck beds, and stair treads. 2mm to 3mm covers foot traffic; heavier duty goes 4mm and up on closer supports.

03

Tanks and Marine Work

The 6ft x 20ft sheets cut down waste on tanks, hulls, and barge repair, where long seams matter.

How ordering works

Send the thickness, sheet size, and count. Plate is priced by weight, so quotes are confirmed at order time. We supply full sheets; cutting happens at your shop.

Common questions about steel plates

How is steel plate priced?

By weight. Each thickness has a standard sheet weight (a 6mm 4x8 sheet is about 140 kg), and the quote is the weight times the prevailing per-kilo price.

Do you cut plates to size?

We supply full sheets only. Your fabricator or machine shop cuts to your parts list; buying the full sheet is usually cheaper than sourcing pre-cut pieces.

What checkered plate thickness for stair treads?

2mm to 3mm handles normal foot traffic on properly supported treads. Ramps that take carts or equipment usually go 4mm. Your fabricator confirms based on the span between supports.
