About hose
Can I use water hose for LPG?
No. Gas hose is made from compounds that resist the gas and are rated for it. Using the wrong hose for gas is genuinely dangerous, not merely a matter of durability.
Why is welding hose twinned?
Oxygen and fuel gas run in separate hoses, bonded side by side so they stay together and do not tangle. They are colour-coded, and the fittings differ, so the two cannot be connected the wrong way round.
What determines hose pressure rating?
Its construction, particularly the reinforcement layers inside the wall. Never assume a hose is rated for a pressure because it looks similar to one that is. Tell us the application and we will point you at the right hose.
