Where it's used
Water Lines and Risers
GI pipe carries water service lines, risers, and tapping runs where plastic will not do. Schedule 40 for pressure and buried runs, Schedule 20 for lighter duty; your plumber specifies.
Fences, Gates, and Railings
Fence tube and square tube frame up gates, grills, and railings fast. GI resists rust for exposed work; BI takes paint and welds cleanly for fabricated pieces.
Frames and Fabrication
Square and rectangular tube build trusses, canopy frames, furniture, and truck racks. Match the wall thickness to the span and load; heavier walls weld with less burn-through.
How ordering works
Send diameters, schedule or wall thickness, and lengths. Pipe sells per 6m length; nipples and fittings per piece. For threaded runs, list every nipple length you need, chances are it is on the wall.

Common questions about steel pipes & tubing
What is the difference between Schedule 20 and Schedule 40?
The wall thickness. Schedule 40 has the heavier wall for pressure lines, buried runs, and threading; Schedule 20 is lighter and cheaper for railings, frames, and low-pressure duty. Your plumber or engineer specifies which.
GI or BI, which one do I need?
GI (galvanized) is zinc-coated and resists rust, so it goes outdoors and on water lines. BI (black iron) is uncoated, welds and paints easily, and costs less, so it goes on fabricated frames and protected runs.
Do you thread pipe on site?
We do not cut or thread. Instead, our nipple wall runs from 1in up to 12in long in every diameter we carry, so most threaded runs assemble straight off the shelf without custom threading.
