Gutters and Flashings

Bended accessories are the formed sheet metal pieces that finish a roof. The sheets keep the weather out across the open span; these pieces handle every place the roof meets something else, a wall, a valley, an edge, a ridge. They are bent from the same coated sheet as the roofing, so the finish matches.

Questions

About gutters and flashings

Why do these need to match the roofing?

They are bent from the same coated sheet, so the colour and finish carry across the whole roof. A flashing in a different material or colour stands out, and a mismatched coating weathers differently from the sheet beside it.

Which gutter profile do I need?

It depends on the detail. An inside or box gutter sits within the roof structure and carries more water; a Spanish or valley gutter suits particular roof shapes. Tell us the roof layout and we will tell you what is normally used.

Are these made to order?

They are formed to profile, so tell us what the roof needs. If you are unsure, describe the junction you are trying to close and we will work out which piece it is.

Can I get these without buying the roofing?

Yes. Bending and fabrication are available on their own; you do not have to take the sheets or the installation with them.
