Where it's used

01

Rebar Tying

Gauge 16 GI tie wire is the everyday spec for tying rebar cages and mats. Order it per kilo alongside your rebar so the crew never runs short mid-pour.

02

Perimeter Fencing

Cyclone wire on GI pipe posts covers most compound and site fencing; barbed or razor wire tops it off. Send the perimeter length and height and we will compute rolls and posts.

03

Slope Protection and Screening

Gabion baskets filled with rock stabilize slopes and creek banks. Steel matting reinforces slabs-on-grade and makes quick gates and cages; mesh screen covers vents and sieves aggregate.

How ordering works

Wire sells per kilo or per roll, matting per sheet. For fencing, send the perimeter length and desired height and we will compute the rolls, posts, and tie wire in one quote.

Common questions about steel wires & mesh

What gauge of tie wire do I need for rebar?

Gauge 16 is the standard for tying rebar. It is soft enough to twist fast and strong enough to hold the cage through the pour. We stock #6 up to #22 for other tying jobs.

What do the numbers on cyclone wire and matting mean?

They are wire gauges: the lower the number, the thicker the wire. #8 cyclone is heavier security fencing; #14 is light enclosure mesh. For matting, #4 and #6 carry structural duty while #8 to #10 suit gates and cages.

How much barbed wire is in one roll?

Rolls are sold by weight, from small (about 13kg) to extra large (about 27kg); length per roll varies with the wire gauge. Send your perimeter and rows and we will compute the rolls.
